Education & Outreach Committee

The Education and Outreach Committee provides mentoring and assistance to high school students and undergraduate and graduate planning programs across the State. The committee’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with local area planners to connect them with students at mentoring events where students can learn more about the planning profession and receive feedback on resumes and interviewing skills.
  • Engage students at their local universities to coordinate events focused on career development and planning topics that are affecting their area communities.
  • Working to increase the pipeline of future planners by hosting events in partnership with high schools to introduce students to the planning profession
