Code Enforcement / Permitting Officer – Town of Zebulon: A municipality of 5,159 people located in eastern Wake County. Primarily responsible for processing building permit applications, interacting with building inspectors to coordinate plan review, permit issuance and certificates of occupancy. Acts as a resource to the general public in all planning, permitting, and code enforcement related matters. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Hiring range $35,552 – $53,329. Job Candidate Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an associate’s degree and supplemented by major course work in urban planning, geography, public administration, landscape architecture, computer sciences or a related field. Some local government experience preferred. Strong written and oral skills required. Working knowledge of MS office software and basic office equipment required.
