The hiring range is $88,848-$111,060. Base salary and compensation are negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Job Candidate Qualifications

The City of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, seeks a customer focused, entrepreneurial Development Services Director to lead the newly renamed and reorganized Development Services and Inspections Divisions. The Development Services Director must be an excellent communicator, collaborator and strategic thinker who will be part of the executive team providing leadership and oversight to carry out the goals of the organization. Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree in urban planning, architecture, public administration, business administration or closely related field from an accredited University and 5-7 years of progressive experience responsibility with managerial experience in urban planning and community development.
