Job title: Experienced Environmental Planner
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced environmental planner. Responsibilities include preparing and leading the preparation of NEPA/SEPA compliance documents (primarily for NCDOT projects); conducting research and development of planning studies and reports along with supporting graphics and reports; preparing for, attending, and presenting at client meetings. This position’s role includes being both a technical resource and project manager and/or task manager responsible for maintaining budgets and client relations. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.

Job Candidate Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in urban planning, civil engineering, environmental science, or related field AND at least four years of relevant planning experience; OR a bachelor’s degree in any field plus six years of relevant planning experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: developing and preparing NEPA/SEPA documents for NCDOT; technical report writing and reviews; project management; coordinating with federal and state regulatory agencies and stakeholders; Microsoft Office software; ESRI and ArcGIS software.
