Main Street Corridor Study (Rolesville, NC)

Name of Organization: NC Capital Area MPO

Location (City & State): Raleigh, NC

Name of RFP: Main Street Corridor Study (Rolesville, NC)

RFP Details / Description

As commuter traffic has shifted to the US 401 corridor and away from Main Street, the Town of Rolesville sees an opportunity to reclaim its Main Street as an asset to the town in support of an active and multi-modal focused town. The lack of a grid network around Main Street, and lack of comprehensive pedestrian facilities hinder the corridor from a true “main street” feeling. The Town, in cooperation with the Capital Area MPO, is seeking guidance on a recommended future cross-section, access management plan, and ultimate corridor vision that will support complete street elements of serving motorists, pedestrians, cyclists and transit users in the future as the town continues to develop.
