RFP Details / Description:

The State of North Carolina Department of Commerce is seeking proposals from qualified firms to complete
a Compatible Use Implementation Plan for the communities surrounding Seymour Johnson Air Force Base
(AFB), including the Dare County Range and associated Special Use Airspace (SUA), Military Training
Routes (MTRs), and Military Operations Areas (MOAs). The Department of Defense Office of Economic
Adjustment (OEA) provides grants to state and local governments to conduct the Implementation
Recommendations as a result of a Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) to support the long-term sustainability and
operability of a military installation.
Interested firms must demonstrate knowledge and experience in community planning, geographic
information systems, development and land use issues, agriculture preservation, land conservation, fiscal
impact analysis, economic development, military compatibility studies, and military installation management
and operations.
