Your Opportunity

Stantec’s Raleigh, NC office is looking for a Traffic Noise Analyst.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data collection from MicroStation roadway design files for incorporation into FHWA’s Traffic Noise Model (TNM) 2.5
  • Prepare Traffic Noise Models according to FHWA guidance and the NCDOT methodology as presented in the 2016 Traffic Noise Manual
  • Be knowledgeable about FHWA and NCDOT Traffic Noise guidance and policies
  • Designing traffic noise barriers and preparing envelope drawings for incorporation into roadway design plans
  • Prepare figures, text and tables for traffic noise reports
  • Assistance with graphic design, materials preparation, and map production
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control for all final products to ensure technical accurateness and regulatory compliance
  • Client interactions/meeting attendance at project meetings

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to prioritize and balance sometimes heavy workloads to achieve goals while keeping up with a highly mobile and changing environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be proficient in MicroStation. Knowledge of Geopak is desirable
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must be able to travel as needed for project assignments
  • Willingness to work outdoors on occasion
  • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, engineering or environmental discipline
  • TNM 2.5 Training
