Your Opportunity

Stantec’s Raleigh, NC office is looking for a Transportation MicroStation CADD Technician who would be interested in an opportunity to learn traffic noise analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data collection from MicroStation roadway design files for incorporation into a traffic noise model
  • Prepare figures for documents
  • Training in the use of FHWA’s Traffic Noise Model (TNM) 2.5
  • Assistance with graphic design, materials preparation, and map production
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control for all final products to ensure technical accurateness and regulatory compliance
  • Client interactions/meeting attendance at project meetings

  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to prioritize and balance sometimes heavy workloads to achieve goals while keeping up with a highly mobile and changing environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be knowledgeable in MicroStation. Knowledge of Geopak is also desirable
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must be able to travel as needed for project assignments
  • Willingness to work outdoors on occasion
  • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in planning, engineering or environmental discipline. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
